5 Ways to Feel Peace About Money

There’s a million reasons why people feel fear and anxiety about money.

You would think that making more money and becoming financially stable would make the fears and anxieties go away, but that isn’t always the case.

If you experienced money fears over and over during a period of your life, there is a memory of that in your mental computer. Your brain stores that information with the best intention of never letting the negative experience happen to you again.

Chances are, you are already on your money healing adventure, or you wouldn’t be reading this blog.

You’ve probably already taken many steps to heal past money hurts, get your finances in strong working order, and shift your money mindset for strong earning, saving and investing.

Either way, when money fears come up in the form of anxiety, you may notice:

  • your mind is racing - continually drawing your attention back to a fear
  • your breathing is shallow
  • you are hyperventilating
  • you cannot concentrate well
  • your tummy is hurting or rumbling

All of these are signs that you need deep healing to transform the fears.

But first, you have to calm your body and mind down.

If any of these symptoms ever pop up, it’s essential that you stop working.

Your mind will keep going round and round until you shift gears.

Here are my top 5 tips to calm yourself so you can feel serene about money:

  1. Change locations. If you’re working, stop and go to a peaceful room in the house, or better yet, go outside. Being in nature instantly shifts your brain patterns and calms your nervous system. Another good shift is to run a fun errand, like picking up coffee. Anything to interrupt your repetitive thoughts.
  2. Breathe deeply. As you get more oxygen flowing through your body, you begin to be able to think clearly again. Your body feels more calm.
  3. Notice that everything is okay. Slow yourself down and start noticing your surroundings in detail. Notice the bark on the trees. Notice that you can look out the window and see all the clouds. Notice that everything is fine. You have everything you need. Things may not be “perfect” at this moment, but you can trust that you are being protected and guided.
  4. Affirm yourself. There is a “turnaround” for every fear you’re having. Practice writing down affirmations and reading them out loud. Learn how to affirm yourself and your finances.
  5. Have gratitude. Once you start looking around in your surroundings and life, and realize everything really is okay, you can up the ante by making a list of all the things you’re grateful for with money. Whether it’s owning a home, buying good foods, having money for vacations, having money put away for your future, being able to help others in need, or owning beautiful things that bring you joy, you can notice that you’ve really got it great. The more gratitude you have, the more your soul glows. And the more your soul glows, the more you attract beautiful relationships and opportunities.

Once you’ve calmed yourself, you can go on with your day. You can even start to expand to see that the world is your oyster.

The world needs you and your energy. All you have to do is just be yourself, and keep loving on your beloved clients, friends and family members, and good things will continue to show up for you.

And always remember: money is spiritual energy that is always lovingly here for you. You really can relax into the moment.

Much love,
